#i can’t get over this #and the diference between these two smiles #2x04: sam barely knows kurt #all he knows is he has three gifts: his voice his ability to spot trends in men’s fashion #aaaaaaaand his ability to know when it comes come a bottle #(and he knows kurt’s so much more self-less than he tends to let on) #and sam’s smile is so quiet and congragulatory #sort of acknowledging that even though they couldn’t sing with each other because kurt broke off the duet to protect sam#sam’s okay #le jazz hot was beautiful. le jazz hot was bold. le jazz hot says if you try to tear me down i will build myself right back up. #sam here barely knows kurt but knows he is special knows he is brave knows he is kind and knows he really liked this performance #and even though he was hurt when kurt broke off their duet he understands #fast forward about 40 terrible episods and you get this #unbridled fondness and adoration #it’s like sam can’t help but smile like that and his eyes crinkle and he just loves kurt so much #because now he knows kurt #he knows kurt not just as the beautiful dangerous boy with the voice like faith hill who can somehow see all his secrets in a second #but as his friend #one of his best friends #brave caring bold graceful self-less superior so so SO special a boy #the boy who was the only one who caught onto how sam’s life was falling apart when he was homeless#and who helped his family out when they needed it and fiercely protecting sam’s secret when it threatened to come out #sam knows kurt now after all this and after living with him for months #and knows he’s all the good things those first impressions promised and a million things more #but one thing always remained the same: the kid’s good #lkasdfjfksd what are these tags ignore me
